Do you like riddles? Here’s one… What has rings but no fingers, bark but no bite, lives in the sky and underground, and leaves in place? The answer is of course, a tree. Trees are mute, long-lived giants, rooted in our brief terrestrial lives.. Most people couldn’t tell a birch from a beech, but trees have thick skin. They can handle it. And if you make the effort to get to know them, you might find it easy to champion trees. *****A lot of people made this story possible! ***** We warmly extend our gratitude to: Matt Staudenmaier, Joe Bronner, and Phil Lubke of the Eau Claire Forestry Division Blaine & Ramone’s Ice Cream Parlor Chippewa Valley Blues Society Tuesday Night Blues at Owen Park Sue Orfield and the Sue Orfield Band City of Eau Claire – Government Colleen Kwong, Genevieve Elise, Julia Bennker, Lynn Buske, Chris Buske, Ross Kleiner, Jen Kleiner, Phillip Anthony, Nick Ferber (and Kitty), Katie & Chris Poquette And to all the Tuesday Night Blues fans who were kind to the camera 😉
